Things to Do During CRSSD Festival in San Diego
CRSSD Festival — the electronic music weekend presented by FNGRS CRSSD — takes over Waterfront Park (1600 Pacific Hwy) twice a year. The Fall 2026 edition runs Saturday, September 26 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, and the Spring 2027 edition is expected around early March (estimated ~March 6–7, 2027 — the Spring 2026 edition was March 7–8 — but 2027 dates have not been announced yet).
It's a ~30,000-person weekend that sells out, skews 21+, and draws a big out-of-town crowd. The music doesn't start until the afternoon, which means your mornings are wide open — and San Diego mornings are the best part of the day.
Morning of the festival: get on the water before the gates open
Sunset cruises are for the evening — mornings are for kayaks. A crystal-clear kayak tour in the calm morning bay is the ideal pre-festival reset: you're back on land with hours to spare before doors.
Half-day sportfishing charter. The boats go out early and you're typically back by midday — plenty of time to get to Waterfront Park. Fall and spring are both solid fishing seasons off San Diego.
eFoil electric surfboard lessons. If you'd rather be active than relaxed, morning eFoil sessions run in sheltered bay water. You'll be done, dried off, and at the festival gates with energy to spare.
Between sets and after the weekend

Practical tips for CRSSD weekend
- Stay near downtown or Little Italy. Waterfront Park is right on the bay; the closer you stay, the less time you lose to logistics.
- Book morning activities for Saturday, not Sunday. You'll thank yourself.
- Hydrate. September in San Diego can still be warm, and March mornings can be cool on the water — bring a layer either way.
- The festival is 21+. Plan accordingly if anyone in your group is underage.
- Spring 2027 dates are not confirmed. Don't book non-refundable travel around the estimated early-March dates until the festival announces them.
